GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
WWW.TEATIAMO.COM is a webshop (hereinafter called “Webshop”) run and operated by business identity name Tiamo Design Oy (hereinafter called also “Seller”), business registration code 3157546-4. By placing an order the customer (hereinafter called “Customer”) agrees to these General Terms and Conditions, which shall apply to all offers and contracts relating to sale and delivery of products on www.teatiamo.com. The Seller reserves the right to revise these General Terms and Conditions at any time without a prior notice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the use of the Webshop as well as any purchase agreement between the Customer and the Seller will be subject to the version of the General Terms and Conditions in force at a time the Customer makes orders.
These General Terms and Conditions are valid from December 25th 2015.
The prices of the products are shown on the Webshop. All Webshop prices are presented in Euros and include 24% VAT (Value Added Tax). All prices are subjected to change. The Seller reserves the right to make price changes and to make changes, limit and terminate any special offers or discounts at any time. Shipping fees are not included in the price for overseas, and shipping costs outside Finland are charged from the Customer. Shipping fees vary depending on the country where the order is shipped to.
Products shipped outside of the EU are VAT free. Some orders to non-EU countries may be subject to VAT, import duties or taxes. These additional costs must be covered by the customer in order for the item to clear customs. We recommend the Customer to contact the local customs authority for more information and regulations to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion.
In order to make purchases on the Webshop, the Customer does not have to register. However the Customer has to provide personal details, contact information and billing information. The Customer is responsible for providing the correct information and to guarantee to be the person referred to in the billing information stated.
The contract between the Customer and the Seller begins once an order is placed. Payment must be received prior to accepting an order. Once the order is successfully placed the Customer will receive an order confirmation email to the email address given to the Seller. When placing an order in the Webshop the Customer accepts these General Terms and Conditions.
In the Webshop there are also products that are available for pre-orders or backorders. For wooden products the backorder will sometimes take weeks to be delivered depending on the customers location.
The Seller does not guarantee that all items included in the Webshop are in stock at the time of the Customer’s order.
The Customer agrees to understand that wood is a natural material, variations in wooden products will occur because every single piece is handcrafted.
Purchases from the Webshop are for personal use or gift use only. Resale or commercial benefits are prohibited.
The Seller reserves the right to restrict multiple quantities of an item being shipped to any customer or postal address.
For payment the Seller uses Paytrail.
Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) acts as an implementer of the payment handling service and as a Payment Service Provider. Paytrail Oyj will be shown as the recipient in the invoice and Paytrail Oyj will forward the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj is an authorized Payment Institution. Credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. We receive the right to not accept your order if for instance your payment cannot be authorized. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. After completing your purchase we will not keep your payment data in our system.
The Seller does not store debit or credit card data.
The Seller will handle all orders in the order they have been received. Delivery time varies depending on where the order is being delivered. Delivery time is calculated from the dispatch date. Delivery normally takes approximately 2-4 working days for the in stock products to Finland and 4-6 working days everywhere else. Estimated delivery times are provided as guidelines only and should never be considered as a strict deadline. For instance destination customs clearance may cause delays. The Seller is not responsible for any delays caused by force majeure. The Seller uses mainly Finnish post (Posti), but also GLS, DHL or Fedex for deliveries. All international orders require a signature upon delivery.
The products are shipped internationally. However, the delivery is not possible to following countries: Burma, Central African Republic, Comoros, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Falklands, Guinea Bissau, Iran, Johnston Island, Kiribati, North Korea, Mayotte Island, Myanmar, Nauru, Niue, Sao Tome & Principe, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, St. Helena (S. Atlantic), Sudan, Tajikistan, Tokelau Islands, Republic of Turkmenistan, Tuvalu and Wake Islands. Please note that this list may vary.

Wooden goods are accurately made in real, carefully selected wood. Any imperfections, differences in shade are not to be considered as defects, but on the contrary as the typical aspects of a natural product. Therefore the Seller cannot accept complaints due to the particular characteristics described. If the customer wishes to exchange an item, the customer has to contact the Seller within 14 days of delivery. Items must be returned immediately after notifying the Seller of a return via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
All exchange items need to be returned in perfect, original condition. Used, modified or damaged items and packaging will not be accepted. After the Seller receives the returned item, the Seller will ship the customer the exchange item and refund the customer of the possible difference. Refunds will be issued to the customer’s original payment method.

Therefore the Seller cannot accept complaints due to the particular characteristics described. If the customer has ordered an item that did not meet the customer’s expectations, the customer may return the item in 14 days without any reason (statutory right of withdrawal). Items must be sent back within 14 days from receiving the merchandise. The time limit starts running the day after the customer has received the parcel. Returns will be accepted only when the item is shipped back within the given time limit, which means that the customer must ship the item out on time.
All items need to be returned in perfect, original condition. Do to the character of the items – used, modified or damaged items will not be accepted. Items must be returned with all the item tags and in their original package.
Items must be returned immediately after notifying the Seller of a return via email (email@example.com). The notification shall include a clear declaration of the Customer’s decision to withdraw from the contract of sale. Should the package be lost in transit, the Seller will not be held responsible. Items lost in transportation will not be refunded. Please keep the delivery note. Please note that the Seller shall not refund the return shipping cost made in Finland. The customer is also responsible for the return shipping costs outside Finland.

To order from TEATIAMO webshop you have to be 18 years or older.

The Seller cannot guarantee that colors on the web shop and in wooden products will be true to life. This depends partly on the colour settings of your computer and monitor as well as the natural nature of wooden material which may vary.
The Seller cannot guarantee that the sizes given on the web shop for wooden products will be true to life. Approximate size guidelines for wooden products are given on the webshop yet note that due to the unique nature of the product, the sizes in wooden items may vary.
WOOD AS MATERIAL – NOTE FOR ALLERGIES
Wooden goods are accurately made in real, carefully selected wood. Any imperfections, differences in shade are not to be considered as defects, but on the contrary as the typical aspects of a natural product. Therefore the Seller cannot accept complaints due to the particular characteristics described.
Some wooden materials for example walnuts, are proven to cause allergic reactions such as irritation, itch and abdominal cramps. As the Customer uses the products, the customer is responsible and aware of this option.

Hereunder is the specific way how every wooden Teatiamo piece is made:
1. First TEATIAMO craftsman uses a CNC machine to sculpture the one block of wood vibe. The process of this for one piece takes 40minutes.
2. After the CNC machine, the wood vibe is always handcrafted, formed and finished with similar shape and our craftsman will smooth the vibe and work on the details by hand.
3. Our craftsman scrubs the wood vibe and makes it smooth and beautiful.
4. As the finishing we use 2 different and safe lacquers 1. Italian (Renner Italian) lacquer, which is the organic compound 2- (2-ethoxyethoxy) ethanol of the formula CH3CH2OCH2CH2OCH2CH2OH. The lacquer is non-toxic and complies with Directives 67/548 / EEC, 1999 / 45 / EC and 1272/2008. Lacquer is sprayed on the product 4-5 layers. This finishing has been tested for years and makes the surface to prevent moist and dirt.

*The final products are finished with Mipa 2K-HS-Klarlack CC 9. It is a VOC-compliant High-Solid acrylic clearcoat for full and partial paintworks on cars and commercial vehicles and provides a particularly brilliant finish and an optimal flow on solvent- or water-based basecoats. The surface prevents moist and dirt. You can wash these products by hand – not in a washing machine.
Finishing works well with oil, water and silicone lubricants. After use, simply rinse the product with water and dry it off. With good care and proper maintenance wood can last forever.
5. Wood is a natural and safe choice. With varnish finishing you can use water, oil and silicone based lubricants.
It is our priority to keep our site secure and make the shopping experience as pleasant as possible. The Seller requires your personal information for ordering and billing purposes only. Contact information such as email addresses and phone numbers are needed to complete an order. Customer information will only be processed by designated The Seller employees processing the web shop orders. The Seller will not provide your personal information to any third parties except for billing and delivery purposes or the authorities in case of breaking the law or good practice violations.
Payment always takes place in the Paytrail online billing server, on your bank server or on the credit card server. We do not receive any bank account details or credit card numbers.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY AND CARE
When the product reaches the Customer, the Customer is fully aware of the nature of the product. Customers understand that any misuse of the product may cause damage that is out of context with the Seller. When the product reaches the Customer, the Customer takes full responsibility for the use of the product.

Cookies are used in the site, in order to improve the Customer’s experience of the site. A cookie is a small piece of data that identifies the Customer’s computer and allows the site to remember your personal settings. Cookies need to be accepted in order to run the website efficiently. The Customer can set the browser to notify when a cookie is to be activated. This enables the Customer to reject usage of this cookie or to tell the browser to erase the cookie at the end of the visit. Cookies do not retrieve any other information from the Customer’s computer, pass on viruses or capture email addresses.
In case of force majeure, the Seller’s obligations will be suspended. A force majeure is in the event of war, strike, riot, crime, government sanction, lockout, pandemic, natural disaster or that prevents the Seller to fulfill its obligations under the contract. The Seller is not responsible for instance for delivery delays caused by force majeure.
The General Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Finland. Furthermore, Finnish Law is applicable to all legal relations between the Seller and the Customer. The Customer and the Seller agree to resolve any disputes primarily through negotiations.
In the event of a complaint that can be resolved between the parties, the Finnish Customers have the right to turn into Finnish Consumer Advisory Services (ww.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi, www.kkv.fi/en) and further to refer the case to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi/en)or the ODR-forum (http://ec.europa.eu/odr).
Any disputes arising out these General Terms and Conditions shall be finally resolved in Northern-Savo District Court. In the case where the Customer is a consumer, the mandatory laws of the Customer’s domicile may also apply and the Customer shall also have the right to bring the proceedings in the court of his/her own domicile. If the Customer does not have domicile in Finland, the disputes shall be resolved in Northern-Savo District Court.
